It's OK to be BIG

Good Morning!!

If any of you were wondering why the emotional turmoil yesterday, it's partially due to the new moon that we are currently in. A time for reflecting, mourning and releasing old habits, behavior and "stuff" a time then to plan for the month ahead.

Sometimes we forget to be Big.
Dream Big
Think Big
Act Big
We may stand out
and everyone will see.............
(fill in your own line here)

Now we're making progress.......

Fear is crippling, it keeps us small .
Dare to be Big.

Here is the thought for the day!

Here's to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The trouble-makers.
The round heads in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them.
But the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world,
are the ones who do.

In the beginning.............

It has been a year since we began this blog..

Our Thought for the day...

I hope you all have enjoyed it as much as I have.

Feel free to post your thoughts.....

This is a reprint of the first entry...Blessings...

Marianne Goldweber

Welcome...This journey we are on is just a speck in the hourglass of time..... Many indigenous peoples describe it as The Good Red Road, the Earth walk.

My intent with this journal is to help you find your inner voice, the one that is drowned out by the chaos of living that keeps us from hearing that wisdom we were born with.....to remind you that all your Spirit wants is peace and love. That's all...it is that simple.

Spirit brought you to this place in time, as we meet on the Red Road, two Souls on a journey, to sit and chat before moving on.

This journey I chose, for it challenges, struggles, conquests, lessons. Each of us, a part of the whole, each a piece of each other. A Mirror for each other. Each of us an example to reflect back to the self.

This is not about changing others, this is about changing the self, and when we do that, we can then honor others at all phases of their journey, like children, all in different phases of learning.... All a reflection of some part of you.... and we don't take it so personally.

So, welcome.... This page may make you think, unravel your "stuff",  make you laugh, find forgiveness, forgive, let go, de-clutter, get angry, let anger go, remove the mask of who you have been told to be, and finally look in the mirror and be happy with who you are, the natural you.  Then, you will be able to be still, and hear the guidance that we all came here with.

All the answers lie within.

Namaste, (I bow to the God light in you, that is also in me)

Good Morning,

Inside each of us is the instinct for greatness . A seed if you will.

Stop today and ask. "If I water the seed, what will bloom?"

Plant the garden of your life.

Here is the thought for the day

I saw the angel in the marble and I just chiseled 'til I set him free

Thich Nhat Hanh

Good Morning!!
Life can fly by without us truly experiencing it.

We can mourn lost time, or become aware of every experience, in the present moment.
Fully enjoying it without thought of  what is to come.

However, we go about our day like a feather on the wind, allowing the experiences of the day to carry us, from one thing to another, we are usually thinking about the past, later today, or tomorrow. Most of us are not even present to what we are eating. Our quality of life is based on how much, not how well.

Stop and be mindful. Savor the experiences of the day, every encounter.

Today's thought for the day comes from Thich Nhat Hahn- He is a Vietnamese Buddhist Monk who in his simplicity speaks a powerful message of peace, mindfulness and Love..
He lives in exile in France in a place called Plum Village.

Here is the web site for further info.http://www.plumvillage.org

Here is the thought for the day

I would like everyone to sing with me the song:

"Flower Fresh," so that we memorize it, and we will begin to learn to practice like a flower, a mountain, still water, and space.

Breathing in, breathing out,

Breathing in, breathing out,

I am blooming as a flower,

I am fresh as the dew.

I am solid as a mountain,

I am firm as the earth.

I am free.

Breathing in, breathing out.

Breathing in, breathing out.

I am water, reflecting

What is real, what is true.

And I feel there is space,

Deep inside of me.

I am free, I am free, I am free.

truth and courage

Greetings!!!
We will finally leave Mercury Retrograde on the 14th, it will be totally over, this last week has been a "righting" of all of the communication issues that have surfaced over the last 4 weeks.
So  this week has been filled with the cleanup, finally saying things, being heard and making it right.

Being clear, speaking our truth requires courage.  It takes thought, prayer and ownership.
Living in the shadow of unsaid things and illusions is a fantasy, it is deceitful. It is imperative, even if speaking our truth may be personalized by another.

Speaking our truth in love makes all the difference in the world. It allows us to so speak from our heart, and to be received by the heart, even if the words sting..

For everyone who has been in this place this week, you have taken the steps toward spiritual and emotional maturity and  even though you may be exhausted, it clears our path and allows us to live in peace.
The truth shall set you free.....

Here is the thought for the day!

You cannot be truthful if you are not courageous.
You cannot be loving if you are not courageous.
You cannot be trusting if you are not courageous.
You cannot enter into reality if you are not courageous.
Hence courage comes first... and everything else follows.

Who are you?

Greetings!!!

Labels. As human beings, everything has a label...a name...

Even when we meet each other, we say, "what do you do?" as if that truly defines who we are.

Labels limit us.

I don't want to be just one thing.

I am not just what I do for a living, I am many things...I am a woman, a mother,  a child of Creator, I am a sister, a friend, a daughter. I am many things..

How do the labels limit us, in how we describe ourselves?

In how we describe others?

In how we describe our children?

Labels give us and others an excuse to be just one thing. Even worse if the label is derogatory. Take the time to un-label yourself, and others.

It will free you to be so much more.

Here is the thought for the day

Let us pray to the One who holds us in the hollow of
  His hands,
To the One who holds us in the curve of Her arms,
To the One whose flesh is the flesh of hills and
  hummingbirds and angleworms,

Whose skin is the color of an old Black woman and
a young white man; and the color of the leopard
and the grizzly bear and the green grass snake,

Whose hair is like the aurora borealis, rainbows,
nebulae, waterfalls, and a spider's web,

Whose eyes sometime shine like the Evening Star,
and then like fireflies, and then again like an
  open wound,

Whose touch is both the touch of life and the touch
of death,   And whose name is everyone's, but mostly mine.

  And what shall we pray?
  Let us say, "Thank you."

Love all things

Good Morning everyone!!!

Love all things..
This sounds simple enough, however, it means the meeting the challenges in our day with love....
meeting all things with love, includes ourselves...

There is a powerful book by Og Mandino called "The greatest salesman in the world"...
108 pages but mighty just the same.
Don't let the title fool you....go on an adventure. The thought of the day is an excerpt from the book.

Here is the thought for the day

I will greet this day with love in my heart.
And how will I do this? Henceforth will I look on all things with love and be born again.
I will love the sun for it warms my bones; yet I will love the rain for it cleanses my spirit.
I will love the light for it shows me the way; yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the stars.
I will welcome happiness as it enlarges my heart; yet I will endure sadness for it opens my soul.
I will acknowledge rewards for they are my due; yet I will welcome obstacles for they are my challenge.
