A simple Prayer

Creator,

Thank you for the many Blessings in my life

The joy of my days, and the serenity of my nights.

Allow me to see Clearly and with Maturity,

the challenges and opportunities before me.

Allow me to free myself from

the chains of Self-doubt and Fear

So I may  move forward with the

Vision of Eagle and Heart of Mountain Lion.

Allow me to be gentle with my lessons,

Love unconditionally those in my

path without Judgement.

Allow me to seek forgiveness for others and myself

Creator,  Watch over my Family and Friends

as they journey along the Good Red Road

Allow me to hear the messages, be conscious of the messangers,

So I may Walk In Beauty and heal our Mother Earth

rite of passage

Good Morning!!

When we are finally finished with one thing in our life, it is amazing the speed at which we move into our new opportunity.

Every day, there are rites of passage, that moment when we let go the old and embrace the new.

To be present to the exact moment when the exchage occurs allows us to celebrate fully that right of passage. We will never be the same again.

The moment we leave our mother for the first time... when our bodies change from children to young adult... when we get our first job....  the moment we buy our first house, or apartment. The moment of the birth of our children....The moment we leave our children for the first time.... .The moment we become grandparents....

At the moment of these changes, is where the rite of passage occurs.

We can't go back, the past is purposeful and necessary in order to stand in this moment in time.

Because we are changed, we shouldn't continue to mourn the past, but  be excited about the future..

Here is the thought for the day!

With each passage of human growth we must shed a protective structure [like a hardy crustacean].

We are left exposed and vulnerable - but also yeasty and embryonic again, capable of stretching in ways we hadn't known before.

Zen of car repair, part two....

Greetings!!!

Well, the saga continued,

I wrote the thought of the day yesterday, and then my tie rod broke......

1 hour later...

I then realized that I was going to be in need, and that message kept me balanced. lol

I walk in gratitude today on so many levels....

So how is the maintenance on our physical body, or are we ignoring groans, creaks or inner guidance?

Don't let fear keep you from taking care of the physical temple.

It is very much like our car. It transports us own the path of Life.

Some of us need minor repairs, and others complete overhauls...lol

But our being, spiritually, emotionally physically...exist in BALANCE and if part is not well, the whole is not well.

Don't let fear keep you from looking under the hood...

 Could you imaging this scenario........

Mechanic...what's wrong...

Customer....well, I don't know, it just stopped running....well actually... I know it needed oil..... but I was afraid it would need oil.... and I would not be able to forgive myself if it needed oil..... so I couldn't bring it here..... because then you would know that it needed oil..and you would think I was bad......so I drove it until it stopped running....and then came here.......

This is why we put off taking care of ourselves...Seems rediculous....but true...

Here is the thought for the day;

The concept of total wellness recognizes that our every thought, word, and behavior affects our greater health and well-being. And we, in turn, are affected not only emotionally but also physically and spiritually.

the Zen of car repair....

Good Morning!!!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

It is hard to understand somtimes how life's little annoyances can be opportunities.

I lost my muffler today, well, not actually lost, It kind of followed mt home.. Then it fell off....LOL

Well..this was not the plan for the day....arggggg....

I went to the local muffler place.

On the bench outside are 8 guys, waiting for people to bring in cars, and they take turns fixing them in order of arrival...

Well, to say the least, I felt a little out of place on the bench, being the only chick.

I waited for my muffler-while-you-wait.   But.. instead of being annoyed, I looked at this as an opportunity to be out of my comfort zone. To connect with  people I normally would not get to meet...(no offense, but most of my dealings are with women) and men have such an interesting perspective.

So I was just listening and observing.

After a while, I asked one of the guys when they are usually busy. He said Saturday and Mondays.

Then he said... ya know.....These guys work 60 hrs a week. It is more than 100 degrees in there....and don't you know.... that someone who waited all week will walk in here in a hurry, at 3:00...when we close on a Saturday...and offer to pay extra for these guys to fix their car...they don't care that this guy just wants to go home to his family.... that there isn't enough money at 3:00 on a Saturday to keep him there a minute past quitting time....

Then he looked at me and said a powerful thing....

He said."Ya know...When people are in need, they don't care about anyone else, just themselves."

I had tunnel vision at that moment, and knew that the Universe was speaking through him at that very moment....

I smiled...shook his hand thanked him for his wisdom....

He gave me my keys and I went back to my day.......

That was the best hundred bucks I ever spent.

Here is the thought for the day.

I believe all suffering is caused by ignorance. People inflict pain on others in the selfish pursuit of their happiness or satisfaction. Yet true happiness comes from a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood. We need to cultivate a universal responsibility for one another and the planet we share.

Personal Codeof Conduct

Good Morning!! Happy Friday!

Next Thursday is the NEW MOON, get ready to spend a day or two going over the past month (or years!) and mourning those things that did come to be. It's also time to reflect on new ideas and the creative force...

Let's try to apply some of the information and messages that we are getting to the physical world.

As this month of Healing is coming to a close, our thoughts of the day will be; reflecting, letting go of old lies, illusions, behaviors, and situations that no longer serve us, or keep us from growing and evolving into enlightenment.

Balance is the key.

The thought of the day is from the Jamie Sams daily meditation book, the thought of the day is about a personal code of conduct.

No one is perfect, but our focus needs to be on trying to stay in balance, trying to be the best me I can be TODAY.

That is all we can do, because we are human, and as we well know, the tests and challenges come from our blind spot most of the time, threatening to knock us off course...

Have a great weekend!

Here is the thought for the day.

To the best of my ability-

I intend to respect all life.

I choose to be accountable for my decisions.

I intend to support Elders and children with my time, my resources, and my caring.

I choose not to judge myself or others.

I choose to speak the truth in all situations.

I choose to learn from my mistakes and shortcomings.

I choose not to revile or abuse myself with criticism or to reject my human growth process.

The world reflects me.

Good morning! Hi every one!

Watching the news can be horrific, or it can bring us messages about change in our life.

Taken from the headlines....... a new perspective on today's issues.

When we do not have personal vision, and become complacent, we enter a mind numbing existence. We have no opinions, goals and dreams because we don't know what we believe. Then we look to someone else to save us from our reality...

When we are in need, and lack sense of self, self esteem, goals and vision, we become prey for those who are skilled at manipulation. They see our (neediness) weakness and they seem to fill it...Sort of....

When people have no vision, tyrants and dictators take charge.

Even tyrants and dictators have a purpose, because they show us how easily the weak and needy can be manipulated.

When have you been weak and needy and under the control of a Dictator? Even if that dictator has been the self?

They are a mirror, a teacher, and just like any other dysfunctional relationship, they are controlling someone who does not realize they have the power to say no....or are in denial, or have become comfortable in their uncomfortableness.

In our world, there are many dictators.

Until we can see that we are oppressed because we gave our power away, the lesson has not been learned; the suffering continues.

Taking back your power is always harder than setting boundaries in the first place.

In order to change the world, to a place of peace, it means for us to take back our own personal power, take ownership for our existence.

Set boundaries and speak our truth in love. Pursue goals and dreams.

Find faith in whatever path speaks to you, spiritually, and personally. When we have all discovered our path and are convicted in it, the dictators of our world and the world will have no one left to bully.

The best way to kill a dictator is by not having anyone for him to dictate to.

So the mirror of illusion of self asks;

Why are you allowing life to be dictated to you, rather than setting goals, and making your dream a reality? Don't hate the teacher; rather, take responsibility for where you are and go about fixing it.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.- Ghandi

Thought for the day......

Give us clear vision that we may know where to stand and what to stand for- because unless we stand for something we shall fall for anything

School daze

Good Morning!!

Well, many of us are preparing to send our children back to school.

For some of us it is today.

I remember the first day of Kindergarden; I wouldn't leave, I peeked in the windows until the teacher waved me away.

Today, I let a young man out of the car, looking back to wave, and joining with his friends with alot of catching up to do. Still not grown, but not so small he needs me to tie his shoes, or struggle with the load of his backpack.

There is excitement for them and excitement and a host of other emotions for parents.

We see them getting older, gaining independence, having other teachers besides us. Knowing they will be confronting social issues, making friends, making choices..

Trusting and allowing them to carve their own nitche into this world.

 Here is the thought for the day;

The Prophet- Children by Kahlil Gibran

And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, "Speak to us of Children."

And he said:

Your children are not your children.

They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.

They come through you but not from you,

And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts.

For they have their own thoughts.

You may house their bodies but not their souls,

For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.

For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.

Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;

For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

On your mark, get set....GO

Good morning everyone!!

In order to grow, we need to move.

We need to create the energy of movement.

Even if we don't have a particular direction in mind; opening ourselves to opportunity for change by stepping out of our comfort zone and trying new things.

When we stay in the same place it's easy because it is familiar.

Taking ourselves out of that comfort place, opens us to new energy.

By doing this we will be able to see opportunities and be ready for them.

Change involves risk, and we must practice our leaping.

Get our spiritual and mental "muscles" trained for the leap.

Start small, but start.

If you can't go a different direction after work,

how will you be ready to go a different direction in Life?

Here is the thought for the day!!

Once I knew only darkness and stillness...

my life was without past or future...

but a little word from the fingers of another fell into my hand that clutched at emptiness,

and my heart leaped to the rapture of living.

The Passing of an Elder

Good Morning all

Today, they cut down a 100 year old tree on my street.

It's base is at least 3-4' across.

I was conscious of the wave of emotion, and the purposefullness of this crossing during the release of the Full Moon. So in honor of the crossing over of an Elder Oak;

Here is the though for the day:

Oh Grandfather standing person, Thank you for your long Life of protection. Thank you for providing shelter and shade for ourselves and our brothers in the animal, winged and insect tribes.

Thank you for your changing beauty in all seasons.

Thank you for your acorns, a source of food for so many here.  Our Squirrel brothers delivering a message of  being prepared, industriousness, abundance, and preparedness for the winter.

Many Summers and Winters you have seen.

Many Storms you have weathered.

Thank you for the message of Oak; Strength, roots deep, bending with the wind, allowing dead branches to fall when they are no longer of service.

Thank you for your presence.

Many families have come and gone from this place in your lifetime. Many things you have stood silent witness to.

Many children have hid behind you in games, collected your leaves when your color bursts forth in the time of Fall.

We left here release you and Thank you as you make the journey from the Good Red Road, to the Blue Road of Spirit.

Remember us in this village, and your Brothers, still standing here without you.

My future's so bright, I've gotta wear shades....

Good Morning!!

Well, In case you didn't notice, the Sturgeon Full Moon is above us!!! Please click on the blog link under my name, and view the archives on the full moon.

It is time to bring things forth. New ideas, old stuff, and send it to the Universe.

Now that Mercury has returned to it's original direction, we should start feeling like we are being understood again...

(that is,...if you were ever understood before!!)

Let's get excited about the unknown, since we are releasing the past,

Let's get excited about the future. As scary as that is, we need to get over the fear and see the fun...

The rush of endorphins and adrenaline...

When was the last time you got this excited about life?

Life is like a book you have never read, written page by page every day..... What kind of book would yours be?

Mystery?

Horror story?

Fairy tale?

History book?

Documentary?

Love Story?

Romance novel?

How about this one, .......

Chapter 1;     Getting up, going to work, make dinner, kids to bed, go to sleep...

Chapter 2:    Getting up, going to work, make dinner, kids to bed, go to sleep... Chapter 3:...............

(This is a book they use at the sleep clinic to cure insomnia.....)

Whatever your Novel, you are the Author, make it your own....

Get excited, and make some changes.

This thought for the day is dedicated to a group that I was with recently.... Bon Voyage.... I can't wait to see you "pictures" and hear of your adventures...

Here is the thought for the day....

Friends are an integral part of your life,

but every friend you have must live life at their own pace.

When the time comes & they must leave you,

there is no need to grieve over their parting from your life.

it is the very essence of life that it should be so,

but it hurts nonetheless and we grieve nonetheless,

but we hold them in our hearts forever.

Always cherish the joy, laughter, memories and love

that they have brought into your lives.

Always remember them with a warm smile

for what they have given you.

Get excited about your opportunities.

Sure, you might get dirty, raise some dust, disrupt a few folks....

But at least you won't be watching the action from the window.....

Let's get it started....

What are you waiting for.....

Time is a wastin'.......

Get focused.....

Get a plan......

Remove the obstacles....

and go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the thought for the day!!

The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.

Days of our Lives

Good Morning!!!

The Morning Star rises, and now begins a new day.

Full of promise and hope.

It is unwritten, it will be exactly what you allow it to be.

It will be as joyful as you set out to make it.

What if they were numbered, the days of our life.

How would you treat them?

Would you spend it in anger, angst and fear? Living in regret.

Or would you use it as an opportunity to leave your life in a good way?

Our days are numbered, the challenge is that none of us really now how many are left.

Don't waste another minute with regret, fear, or the past.

Release the things that do not make you or your family happy.

Find the Courage to say things that need to be expressed.

Find the Strength to make changes.

What have you got to lose?

Here is the thought for the day!

I have been with many men approaching death; and not one has ever said, "I only regret that I didn't spend more time at the office."

      Happy Monday....

Well 2 more days until Mercury goes back to direct..

So all of our communication misunderstandings and equipment failures will be over.... Thankfully!!!

Time to go ahead with things we have been putting off until after the retrograde..

Here is the Thought for the day!

In the name of the best within you, do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worst.

In the name of the values that keep you alive, do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly, the mindless in those who have never achieved his title.

Do not lose your knowledge that man's proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind and a step that travels unlimited roads.

Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all.

Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach.

Check your road and the nature of your battle.

The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real,

it is possible, it's yours.

Stop blaming- Start owning

Good Morning!! Happy Friday!!

So many times we say;  (They) made me feel....they said this and made me......

In the healing process, it is very important to forget blaming, and start owning....

Any time we say, that someone or something "made me" we need to replace that with "I allowed this to (         )"

We need to be taking ownership for things that happen to us and take the appropriate steps to make changes to prevent that behavior in the future. Speaking our truth, setting boundaries.

Two of the hardest things to do, but the most liberating.

Once we take ownership, we will find forgiveness a much easier task.

Here is the thought for the day!

Spiritual progress is like detoxification.

Things have to come up in order to be released.

Once we have asked to be healed, then our unhealed places are forced to the surface.

Healing Our Mother- Healing ourselves

Greetings!!! Happy Thursday!

Picture a World.....

Where we live in Harmony....

Where there is no war, where conflicts are settled in a Loving way, where neighbors help each other, and abundance is always present.

Where kindness and consideration are a way of life.

Where our children are safe, and there is no fear......

Please meditate on this today, take five minutes and collectively focus on such a Reality...

Healing and Loving Our World.

Here is the thought of the day;

We're sitting on our blessed Mother Earth from which we get our strength and determination, love and humility - all the beautiful attributes that we've been given.

So turn to one another; love one another; respect one another; respect Mother Earth; respect the waters - because that's life itself!

Healing

Good Morning, Happy Wednesday

In the Jamie Sams daily meditation book that some of you follow, we are on page 215. Click on her name for more info.

This month is governed by the Grandmother, She Who Heals. This month we will be visiting ways in which to heal.

Being Holistic, is truly to see the connectedness between the Physical, Emotional and Spiritual parts of ourselves.

That they exist in a delicate Balance (there's that word again)!

Healing emotionally, inevitably will heal Spiritually. It will allow us to be healthier Emotionally, and to be in balance emotionally, means that we will be healthier Physically.

Repressing grief, anger and fear, will put the Spiritual Emotional and Physical body in harms way.

So many of us afraid of expressing our emotion, We feel that we are expected to be in CONTROL of EVERY situation EVERY outcome, EVERYONE'S emotions, while denying our own needs and wants.

Therefore becoming depressed, and unable to See clearly, HEAR clearly, the INNER GUIDANCE. Our Guides, and Angles and Creator, Patiently wait for us to run out of steam, in a heap, wait for us to look up and say.....

Help me.

For it is at that moment, that it comes unraveled, this illusion and we Remember, that we are not alone.

Waiting for us to remember.... We are Spiritual beings, having a human experience. This journey is just about learning and growing.

That the Control; free will, is the Coyote, the Trickster, allowing us to run amuck. Using our free will freely, trapping ourselves, tricked, into thinking we have all the answers. Managing that which cannot be managed.

Now we are ready to listen to the wisdom of the inner voice.

Now, the healing can begin.

Heres is the thought for the day.

Forgiving does not erase the bitter past. A healed memory is not a deleted memory. Instead, forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to remember. We change the memory of our past into a hope for our future.

Make a change in you

T G I F!!Good Morning,

Just like with our Friends in the Animal Tribe, the balance in their strengths and weaknesses bring us messages about to who and where we are in life, on the path.

Therefore, every person I meet, is bringing me a message about myself in their strengths and weaknesses.

Why would I want to change them?

Because we do not like what we see....??

Wouldn't it be easier to find that same behavior in ourselves and remove it? Wouldn't it be better to notice beauty, talent and goodness in another,
and ask ourselves to be those things too?

In my own relationship, I loved the spontaneity, the order and focus, the straightforwardness this person exhibited. I stopped seeing those things, and focused on the things that I did not like. I was so busy focusing on changing this person, I did not have an identity of my own.

No matter who he became, it would not have ever been right for me, because frankly, I did not know who I was, I always changed who I was for the situation.

That is exhausting, and frustrating.

It is so much easier to change who you are, and draw the right situations to you.

I didn't see that I was in no position to be changing anyone. He changed all right........ wives.

Change the mirror that others in our space hold themselves up to.

They see you making changes, it frees them to follow though example, through Mirroring what they see.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.. Gandhi

I would like to recommenda book,Buffalo woman comes singing, by Brooke Medicine Eagle.

Have an awesome weekend!!

Here is the Though for the day!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deep fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented and fabulous?"
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world!
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us
It is in everyone!
As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others.

Your Village called.......

Hi Everyone!!

When did our society become so unbalanced, or has this been an unraveling?   Our indigineous peoples believe that in order to be in balance, we must honor the polarities that work within us.

The Light and the Dark,The Male and Female, The boy Child, The Girl Child, The Mother,The Father, The Grandmother, The Grandfather, All of these exist in a delicate balance. If any of them are hurt, unnurtured,un-Balanced, then the whole is out of balance.

What is it to be a Grandfather? What is it to be a Grandmother? What is it to be a Man?  What is it to be a Woman? What is it to be a boy Child?  What is it to be a girl Child?

These descriptions, don't limit us, they give us parameters and boundaries, allows others to have their responsibilities and forces us to honor those boundries. It gives us the ability to be the best at what we are here to do. We take pride in being part of the balance that makes up the whole.

Our country being from so many different cultures, are now the great sons and daughters of a dying ancestry, and if your heritage was not clear in it's definition then there is no heritage, no ancestors to identify with, and feel as if we have no guidance to define who we are in the World. No one to teach us how to Survive, what it means to be part of a Village.

We are cut off from our ancestral line....

We are Americans, we are women and men without Elders, without Heritage, without a Village. We are orphans.

The original belief of this country is the way of our Indigenous peoples. That is why so many have come to Love and Honor this spiritual path.  Many adopting something to believe in.

That is what drives this Spiritual awakening that has been prophesied by all the Indigenous peoples of Earth.

It is the coming of the  1) Fifth world of Peace.  2)Fifth world of peace

Allow these links to take you on an adventure in this dark moon of discovery. Shatter your own personal illusion.

In the coming days, we will be examining ways to honor the self, defining our gender and it's responsibilities. Ways of finding your place in the Web of Life.

Here is the thought for the day!

It is easier to make slippers than carpet the world.

Silence is golden

Happy Day to all of you.

Today is complex and simple. We are in the New Moon.

It is the unraveling of the illusion of life we have created, and creating new realities for the coming days.

All of us are Spiritual beings, having a human experience.

In the time of the dark moon, we enter the dark, allow it to let us go within and examine where we have been, create where we are going.

Allow yourself to tap into the inner knowing, connect to the universe and allow it to channel the "knowing" directly to you.

Silence is the place where our inner voice is heard.

Our need for endless chatter and distraction, prevents us from hearing the things we do not want to hear.

The voice that speaks of change, of living a lie, of dissatisfaction.   All of which may unravel the illusion that is our reality.

Don't be afraid, listen to your own personal truth. It speaks in a loving way, not in judgment.

Like a parent to a child.

Since we are in a place of discovery today, there is a link to a famous poet, writer and artist, Kahlil Gibran, who had written and channeled many beautiful and thought provoking writings.

Take yourself on a Internet adventure and click the link Kahlil Gibran

 Thought for the day:

Keep me away from the wisdom which does not cry,

the philosophy which does not laugh and the greatness which does not bow before children.
Kahlil Gibran

Soar

Good Morning!

Tomorrow is the New Moon, there is an attached link to my web Journal called, Walking the Red Road. Going there you can access the archives for information on the new moon, and what that means. Now is the time for release and creating new plans.

Many times, I have said, knowing all of this information, and applying it to our daily lives is two different things.

We can read all about balance, kindness,!! unconditional love, but then these situations arise in our life where it needs to be applied and the work begins.

Faith is required, to let go of old and comfortable behavior.

Courage to ask for help.

Strength to leave relationships, that are no longer good for us.

Looking in the Smoking Mirror of illusion of self and change who we are. Whether that relationship is a partnership, friendship, marriage, family, or professional, or even a relationship with yourself.

I know personally, many of you who are making great strides. Who consciously work these new ways of thinking into your life. Who then inspire others to be the best they can be just by your example.

We do influence others just by our Courage and Vision to make changes. I know the amazing stories of many of you who have done this very thing.

There is no destination on this Road. It is constant awakening, and reawakening, discovery after discovery. Like waking up after a long nap and feeling like you have been sleeping your life away in the mundane rituals of your life.

The teacher is also the student. The learning process on this road is never finished. There is no Master degree, there is no certification.

There is only the point where we Cross over to the Blue Road of Spirit and look upon this life and see thebeauty and magnificence of it in the Great Web.

Of the lessons learned, and the Lives touched.

So, we can stay on the Hamster wheel.....or we can become Eagle and soar...

Here is the thought for the day!!

It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself. It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.

It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things.

For you cannot live in someone else. You cannot find yourself in someone else. You cannot be given a life by someone else.

Of all the people you will know in a lifetime, you are the only one you will never leave or lose.

To the question of your life, you are the only answer.

To the problems of your life, you are the only solution.
