The hero within, looking for opportunity

Good Morning welcome back after the long weekend.

The Universe offers us choices and opportunities every day. There are the opportunities that are obvious, like a job offer, or a chance to make extra money or to go on a trip.

But there are opportunities that are also in disguise; as obstacles, things we fear, work.

Working through these challenges allows us to emerge in the reward.

I find that opportunity is waiting for me, to not be afraid, to go into the dark of the unknown, to let go of what is comfortable and familiar. It is a personal test, and the reward is immediate.

I have always been inspired by people who, despite insurmountable odds, make huge impacts on the world.

However, everyday heros fight sometimes invisible battles. The hardest fought are the wars within the self, the little things that keep us frozen in time. By overcoming the past to take charge of the future, to move forward in spite of the odds. To accept defeat, and try again, that makes you a hero.

I am the hero in my tale, my hurdles are minuscule compared to those of people like Helen Keller, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr. but they inspire me.

What keeps you from accepting what you want?

Be the hero in your life.

Fear is an illusion, the shadow self, keeping us from the Light, and growth. Find faith in the Source, and Yourself. Be brave, create your dream and open your Spirit to opportunity.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.

Om- the power of meditation and visiting the universe

Good Afternoon Everyone!!

My spiritual journey has been a virtual smorgasbord of practices. I try to be balanced and shy away from extreme, fanatical thinking, because it indicates unbalance.

As I am presented with something new, I see it as an opportunity to grow, it may be of benefit to myself someday or someone I may come into contact with.

No experience is wasted.

Back in my youth, I was in a rock band. No illusions of grandeur, we set up, played and tore down. We played small bars and clubs in bad parts of town.

I learned to plug in all of the equipment, tear it down and pack it away in a systematic fashion ... what is this leading to?......

20 years later, I was at a huge reception at my Alma Mater....the sound system failed, the nun in charge looked frantically at the wires and sound system, just as the Guest speaker was going to go on. So seeing her plight, I jumped into action, in my dress and heels, I traced and replugged the sound board .....and as the guest speaker got to the mic, it worked.

She looked at me and said, how did you do that?

It's a gift Sister....No experience is wasted.   LOL

Many different cultures embrace the power of stillness and reconnection of our physical selves with the "Oneness" that is God, the Universe, The source.

I find it easiest to explain it as; We become separate, and that mourning, that not fitting in, the lack of clarity and Synchronicity with our physical world is because of our separateness from the "Source",

What chanting does, is using the Cosmic sound of OM (pron.: A-U-M) in order to reconnect ourselves to that from which we came.

It grounds and centers us and fills us with the universal energy that recharges us...

Even if you do not subscribe to "the universe",  the effects are profound. Something to add to your spiritual bag of tools. Please visit the attached link, it will explain it in greater detail.

When we are feeling alone, disconnected and unloved. Chant Om in a safe and quiet place, and you will feel reconnected to yourself and the Universe.

Om and Mantras

Here is the thought for the day Friday-have a safe and centered weekend.

...the fact that I practice meditation doesn't mean that I am always calm or kind or gentle, or always present. There are many times when I am not. It doesn't mean that I always know what to do and never feel confused or at a loss. But even being a little more mindful helps me see things I might not have seen and take small but important, sometimes critical steps I might not otherwise have taken.

The canvas that is my life

Happy Thursday!!!

Here is the thought for the day!!!

What is on your Canvas?

The most visible creators are those artists
whose medium is life it
self
.
The ones who express the inexpressible -
without brush, hammer, clay, or guitar.
They neither paint nor sculpt.
Their medium is simply being.
Whatever their presence touches has increased life.
They see, but don't have to draw...
Because they are the artists of being alive.

Clutter, energy and honoring your space.

Good Morning!

Abundance!

Sometimes our houses, closets and life are so full of things that we no longer honor, there is no room for abundance, or new opportunities.

Is you space full?

Do you dread having to dust, or don't bother dusting all the little knick knack's and "Things" around the house?

Do you have closets or even rooms that you dread going into, or opening?

When I do spirit and energy clearings in homes, the most "haunted" or energy filled homes are those with clutter and an abundance of "Stuff."

Energy is Physical. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist... We can't see electricity, but you don't see me sticking my finger in an electrical socket...(anymore...lol)

Clutter and such prevents energy from flowing in an unobstructed way through your home... it gives the space a claustrophobic, heavy and chaotic feeling. The simpler the space, the better the energy flows....

Many people have lived in homes for many years, energy is residual, patterns continue to be present, and can be perceived as "ghosts" or things we see, out of the corner of our eye.

I have had many clients tell me their house was Haunted, but come to find the house had energy patterns that were on a "loop" running over and over.

Energy, like smoke on paint, leaves a residue, which can be and should be cleared periodically.

I utilize the ritual of "Smudging", which is using smoke from smoldering herbs to clean and negate energy. I equate it to a Spiritual or Psychic bath.

After I physically clean my home, I then smudge. I open the windows and let out the accumulated energy...

Twice a month (during the new and full moon), I alter who I am, and I also alter my space to keep up with the "new me" weekly, so I am not in conflict with my old energy. It is a habit now, and if I don't do it, I find myself bumping into old patterns of energy, and clutter starts to accumulate again. That is a telltale sign for me that I am off the track.

So, how old is the energy in your home? Some of us live in very old houses, where there is 100 years or more of energy patterns. For more information on energy clearing, House blessings and smudging. Contact me directly.

Here is the "thought for the day"...

So, stop waiting until you finish school,
until you go back to school,
until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds,
until you have kids, until your kids leave the house,
until you start work, until you retire,
until you get married, until you get divorced,
until Friday night, until Sunday morning,
until you get a new car or home,
until your car or home is paid off,
until spring, until summer, until fall, until winter,
until the first or fifteenth, until your song comes on,
until you've had a drink, until you've sobered up,
until you die, until you are born again;
to decide that there is no better time
than right now to be happy.

Seeing youself in the mirror of illusion.

I had one of you write to me asking if I am writing  specifically about them...

Sad to say, no, the thought for the day are things that are going on for me..... I too am a being on a journey.

I get many confirmations per day, that have a common theme; of late it is one about self reflection. Selfless giving.

These are things we are all doing because we are in the full moon. A time of purging, looking in our closets of stuff to get rid of (internal and external)...

From a higher perception, the moon and it's cycles, the seasons and such, everyone is struggling with these issues today, tomorrow, next week.

You are not alone......   I love that it is fitting however. lol

A powerful message, if you are getting so much from them...

We are all humans- being,   including myself.

The selfish I

Greetings to Everyone!!!!

How many times do we have our own agenda and are so self focused on filling our want...our need, that we mow over the boundries and sacred space and point of view of others?

Or do things for others to manipulate a desired outcome?

If we work on loving and accepting ourself, forgiving and filling our empty places, we will  be less likely to run around taking what we want and waiting to be gifted with what we need. Then we are a gift to others.

If we want to be self focused on our growth and not Self-ish, then we need to direct our energies to unconditional kindness and love....

Introspection, checking our motives, using past experiences as a tool to being a better Human-being.

Not giving with condition...as a way to fill a dark place in ourself..

Not demanding that others be grateful, but giving for the sake of bringing joy to another, even if our gift is refused or thrown away...

The litmus test is doing things because we want to, not because we need to, or because someone expects us to, or because if I do this, then they will think that....

That is manipulative and conditional.  Let's examine our intent.

Not an easy reflection to look at.

The greatest gift we can give others  and the world are our healthy and complete selves, with no strings attached, and if there are,the puppet is you.

Here is the thought for the day!

No matter what you do, no matter how stupid, dumb or damaging you judge it to be, there is a lesson to be learned from it.

No matter what happens to you, no matter how unfair, inequitable or wrong, there's something you can take from the situation and use for your advancement.

My happy place is not my hiding place

Good Morning and Happy Monday to everybody!!

The full moon is in effect! The inability to sleep, or concentrate, had me up at all hours, feeling like there was something that I forgot to do!

I was reminded that my direction and forcus has begun to wander; to things, and people outside myself.

The time is now to bring ideas and creations out from the dreamy place in my head into the real, human world.

I was reminded that being a Pisces, (a water sign) I could live in my head while I languish away in the physical world.

So the full moon puts a fire under our karmic butt.

For all of you other water signs out there, I feel your pain!!!

However this is not to give you another excuse to live in your "happy place".......LOL

During this months full moon, lets all try to bring one idea into the physical world, One improvement in our selves, One idea off the drawing board that we have been PROCRASTINATING.

There is extra credit for difficulty of the task.

If we can learn  to use this time every month to be productive, who knows, we may have a little  less to complain and gripe about. :)

Good wishes to everyone!

Here is the thought for the day!

Unless we can hear each other singing and crying,

unless we can comfort each other's failures

 and cheer each other's victories,

we are missing out on the best that life has to offer.

The only real action takes place on the bridge between people.

Open yourself to Enlightenment

Good Morning and Happy Friday to Everyone !!
Spring is the direction East on the medicine wheel of  most of the aboriginal North American Peoples. East is the direction of the Rising sun,or Morningstar. This is the direction of Enlightenment, governed by Eagle, with it's keen sight; it also symbolizes freedom.

Many cultures have rituals associated with the Rising sun. It is significant because it represents a new day, an opportunity to begin anew, as Spring is a time of planting.

Our Earth Mother awakens, bringing new life after the winter sleep. As our weather is getting better, see if you can go outside, sit and face the East, and open yourself to Illumination from the Universe, take the 5 minutes of gratitude and open yourself to the opportunities of a new day.

Filling you with peace and positive expectations, knowing through faith, the Creator and Universe will bring you what you are needing today.

This is the time of creating order and getting rid of thinks that no longer serve you. In order there is clarity, removing old energies and negative thoughts to be open to inspiration and "Illumination",

There is one among you who's heart is heavy with worry and angst. Let's offer a prayer for this member of our human tribe; to trust in the ways of Creator, it may not be our way, but it is the best way.

Shed old Ideals and judgments, be open to the illumination, shed anger, for it is a heavy burden that needs to be laid to rest.

Trust that we are not alone, all things are purposeful. We have human Friends, Relations and Spiritual guides and Ancestors that are ready to help, once we come to a place of asking.

Finally, we pray for Peace of Spirit, to eliminate chaos so you may see and hear clearly your internal and external guidance.

If this speaks to you, it is for you also, not just for the one this prayer is intended  for. If any ofyou want to discuss it, feel free to email me.

Here is the Thought for the day!!

Doubt sees the obstacles, F
aith Sees the way.

Doubt sees the darkest night, Faith sees the day.

Doubt dreads to take a step, Faith soar
on high,

Doubt questions 'Who believes?'  Faith answers, 'I'.

Anger and the full moon

Good Morning everyone!

It is Full Moon time again. It will occur on the 23rd, which is Monday, but we are already feeling the effects of this as it awakens the water in our bodies....A time of release.

For more information, visit our daily web journal, archives Walking the Red Road for April and see the entry for the full moon and ideas for release.

For men and women, and children, Anger is one of the most avoided of the emotions. Our dysfunctional society endorses violence, but not the healthy release of anger.

The full moon rises "the tides" of emotion within us. It is a very natural time to surrender emotion.

We will not hear our inner voice if our inner child continues to rant, and disrupt our life.

There are healthy ways to release anger;  letter writing, rock throwing (into a river or stream!) crying, hitting pillows with the fists; whatever action allows the flood gates to open.

The flow of emotional energy, along with the verbal release clears the chakra's, or energy points in the body.  Some people believe disease is manifest from repressing negative, bad and unhealthy emotion. For more info go to;Chakra Test

The physical action of throwing, yelling, crying, sobbing,  hitting pillows makes us breathe. The body, trying to stop emotional release, will hold the breath. The physical exertion allows the breath to flow, in turn, opening these energy points.

As everything starts to flow the negative energy is released. Surrendering to this leaves us feeling tired, but relieved. Clearer, able to hear the voice of reason.

(For those of you with severe trauma or depression, it is best to consult with a licensed professional, some of which specialize in anger issues.)

Imagine, giving these emotions their time every month. Once this "healing" begins, it will become less frequent, and less intense, as we focus on specific issues and just allow the feelings to be carried away.

Releasing them to Creator, renewing our faith in the Source, the Universe.

Here is the thought for the day!

Creator, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

the Courage, to change the things I can, and

the Wisdom to know the difference.

Manifesting your desires

Happy Wednesday!!  Good Morning!

Manifesting your desire.   Many believe that this existence is just an illusion, a dream that we create, for the scenarios and lessons that it brings each of us.

The topic today is teaching us that the Universe makes happen that which we speak or pray out loud.

This is not just about the positive abundance's that we receive, this is also about speaking aloud our fears, just to watch them become real in our physical world.

We must understand, this is why we pray, create rituals, sing, chant, worship. It is sending our requests to the Universe, to be heard and manifested.

Now, with this new perception, we need to see the power in articulating out loud. The object of our meditating is giving energy to our thoughts and fears.

I know, many of you who are getting whiplash nodding in agreement!!   We all have stories of "coincidence" of getting exactly what we asked for.

These instances are so powerful, and amazing, but we must get over the amazement and see that we are not alone, the Creator, the Universe, Guides, Angels and Ancestors hear us, and answer those "prayers, requests, intentions" but we were not always aware, it comes disguised sometimes.

But, it is always what you asked for.

If any of you have a story to share. Email me, or post it as a a comment on the web log, Walking the Red Road  we would love to hear them, they are great confirmations!

Be careful what you wish for!!  I wish you Peace and Blessings...

Gratitude, thanks and abundance

Happy Monday to all !!!

Gratitude-grat·i·tude Pronunciation: 'gra-t&-"tüd, -"tyüd
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French or Medieval Latin; Middle French, from Medieval Latin gratitudo, from Latin gratus grateful
Date: 1565 : the state of being grateful :
THANKFULNESS

All of us have 5 minutes every morning to be still, and thank the universe for our blessings. Whether it is as you sit up in bed, take a shower, eat breakfast, in the car, or in the parking garage.   If we are not grateful, we stop the flow of the circle of energy, and we will struggle, wanting more; without being happy for what we have. We are our own road block.

Taking time to be grateful creates energy of abundance for the day, and for life.

Example:

Good Morning Creator, guides ancestors, angels, spirit helpers!

Thank you for this day and all of the opportunity it brings with it to grow.

Thank you for the opportunity to be here for another day to be of service to others.

Thank you for your guidance on my human journey.

Thank youfor the lessons that will be presented to me today.

Thank you for Earth, our Mother.

Thank you for my human family and friends (list them if you like) and their unconditional love of me.

Thank you for the blessing of a shelter and food.

Thank you for the abundance you send me.

Thank you for my employment in order to sustain it.

What are you grateful for?

Here is the thought for the day;

Live your life so that the fear of death can never enter your heart.

When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light.

Give thanks for your life and strength.

Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living.

And if perchance you see no reason for giving thanks, rest assured the fault is in yourself.

Taking a stand against bullies, the Mr Rogers way!

Greetings and Happy Friday the 13th to all

Believing as I do in the laws of Synchronicity.... I was having a discussion about bullying with a friend, who is having an issue with her son being bullied. I was telling her about the quote that I am including as the thought for the day

I came back to my computer, got online and there is an article about Fred "MR" Rogers, and his experience of being bullied. I am attaching the article if anyone is interested on reading a story about this kind and compassionate man

In retrospect, lack of self-love is fertile ground for people and children who are bullies. These souls are usually in pain themselves. In addition to being insecure.  It is always easier for them to find the person that is "safe" who will not, or cannot defend themselves. Creating a victim mentality, making it that much harder to take back your personal power

I am hardly an expert, but what I do know is those of us, who are sensitive, eccentric, psychic beings, are singled out for this abuse, because we are different. I did not appreciate my "different ness" as a child. I was ashamed, and wanted to be invisible.

As I have come to find as an adult, that many envy that "dare to be different"-ness about me and there are still those adult bullies that wish to destroy that which they are not. Fear anger, insecurity making them hurt others

I learned that although we must set boundaries with these spirits, we must also love them for the same light that exists in me exists in them too

Lets also look at how we may take our pain, regret and anger and frustration on those that are not deserving of that treatment. Sadly enough, it is usually someone we love, or a perfect stranger, walking down the path of life. Being human is a challenge. Some days are more challenging than others!!

I hope everyone has a beautiful and relaxing weekend

Here is the thought for the day:

I didn't belong as a kid, and that always bothered me. If only I'd known that one day my different ness would be an asset, then my early life would have been much easier.

Reach out and touch someone!

Good Morning Everyone!!!

We have become separate. Isolated. Without the extended family of a Village, or community, smaller disconnected nuclear families are disintegrating and we cannot exist alone.

It is a daunting task to be a parent, expecting to teach your children everything they need to know to be healthy adults, adults need healthy elders to give us insight from their wealth of experience.  That is why we need to create extend families that share the same values and viewpoints, bring to the table new perceptions and insights on the same subjects. Children, Parents and grandparents benefit from the life experiences and Love of others in their "Family".

Our separateness creates isolation. Many of us believe that no one could possibly understand the strangeness that is our lives. We are in fear of being criticized and judged so we don't ask for help. We don't want to be perceived as weak, as not having all the answers.  We become Martyrs, victims and control freaks, suffering in silence. Trying to manage everyone's lives but our own.

Until I got a job at 13, (at a local beauty shop) I had no idea how "different" and diverse people were from my Nuclear family. I was amazed at the diversity of thought, of foods, of emotions, of lifestyles. My little village at the beauty shop was a variety of females from 14 to 95; from all walks of life. I worked there for 7 years part time and gained a lifetime of experiences that I still benefit from today.

I see now, how purposeful my working there was. At the time, It offered me a number of "Mothers" all with something to teach me that my own Mother could not. Not just due to the fact that she did not have the answers, but they all had a different life perception, they problem solved in different ways, some were  analytical and some creative.

One woman showed me how to knit, which my mother didn't know how to do.  I knit to this day, andI offer thanks still. She probably did not realize the far reaching impact our few minutes on Saturdays would have on a young girls life.  I learned to Macramé and learned fashion sensibility from the gay men that were friends of the owner. I learned systematic cleaning from the shop owners mother (she had control issues!!!) She taught me how to create a pattern so that if I was interrupted, I knew where I left off!! (see there was a method to her madness!!)

I learned that your hair can fall out from stress and hormones, and perms don't come out when you are pregnant.

We laughed, cried and talked; there was much love there. They allowed me to be myself, the most important part of all; never judged me. I felt as if I was adopted into a giant family.

I learned to converse. I was, before that, a wallflower, who cried when I had to talk in public. I became confident and resilient.

The universe positions us to get what we need, and back then, I needed that job, not just for the money I earned, but for the wealth of experience it offered me. These wonderful women gave me insight into my relationship with my Mother.

See yourself as not separate, but part of the universe. That in our isolation, we are missing out on the cornucopia of thought, feeling, emotion and love that this connectedness offers, and most of all, a sense of belonging.  You may never know how your experiences and "stuff" you know will benefit someone else.

So reach out, take a risk and let someone in, or reach out and get connected. Start your own Village.

Here is the Thought for the Day!!

A human being is part of the whole called by us 'universe,' a part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts, and feelings as something separate from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion ofconsciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few people nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty  Author :Albert Einstein

Kindness and Love

Good Morning everyone!! It  has been a beautiful spring so far this week!

I would like to share with you an author and teacher that has inspired me and a link to more information about him.He believed that loving each other and being sources for joy and love change the world

When we feel small and that we cannot make a difference, Leo Buscaglia
reminds us that even the smallest kindnesses change lives.

Here is the thought for the day!

The majority of us lead quiet, unheralded lives as we pass through this world. There will most likely be no ticker-tape parades for us, no monuments created in our honor. But that does not lessen our possible impact, for there are scores of people waiting for someone just like us to come along; people who will appreciate our compassion, our unique talents. Someone who will live a happierlife merely because we took the time to share what we had to give. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have a potential to turn a life around. It's overwhelming to consider the continuous opportunities there are to make our love felt.

Tiyoweh- The Stillness within

Tiyoweh is a Native American word, meaning “Stillness”; entering the silence in order to connect with Mother Earth, and our Spirit helpers in Nature. To connect to our inner voice for guidance.

This cannot be accomplished without Tiyoweh, the Stillness

We have talked about Being “PRESENT”. There are many catch phrases now for the need for our culture to be still. Being in the NOW, GROUNDED, CENTERED

I tried to watch television the other day, and it seems as if all of my senses were assaulted

The commercials are much louder than the shows. The strobe-like visuals. The raw sexual and violent content of the programming and ads. Things are getting louder, to get our attention. We are numb and seemingly immune. Until you turn it off and desensitize.

I have been De-sensitized. I watch a limited amount of television anymore I avoid chaos and drama. I cannot watch people in chaos; I have eliminated chaotic and dramatic people from my life. This energy makes me feel bad, it makes me cry, it makes me nauseated, it makes me angry. It is not uplifting; it disrupts my peace, and stillness

This energy assault is ongoing in our day. People talk at each other; people are raging on the roads in their cars. Everyone is short. Parents verbally disrespecting their children out of exhaustion and frustration. Children, whining yelling, hitting, disrespecting because they have not learned to; be, or be heard, or have been honored, they are exposed to so much violence and chaos that they are reflecting it.

There is little Tiyoweh, Stillness. Rather than getting louder to be heard, we need to get quieter, to see what is going on while we are moving at breakneck speed to get nowhere. To honor our children with quiet peaceful living spaces, a refuge away from the outside world. A Haven, A place to find Peace, Quiet, Love, inner guidance.

There is much in the nuance in life that we are missing. Once we jump out of the current and watch from the bank, it is hard to imaging jumping back into that madness, that chaos and insanity.

There is a gentleman I know in the hospital. He was anxious at having to be in bed, away from his routine for 3 weeks, he had to ask for help in doing things. He told me that he felt lazy, he was angry, he was sad, in denial; he was experiencing grief at the transition. He was de-programming.  His perception was shifting, and he was not in Control of the situation.

This forced process is very uncomfortable. He told me that being there was doing nothing, and he felt lazy. I advised him that being there was purposeful, that moving without purpose was not doing, and being still to heal and think, to relax and plan was not being lazy.

As the days progressed, I saw a transformation. He became PRESENT, Peaceful. He looked more relaxed than I had seen him in years. His blood pressure went way down. He quit smoking after 58 years. I reminded him that all things are purposeful. That this must have been the only way the Universe could find to slow him down, make him think, and the icing on the cake control is an illusion!   If he had willingly made changes this may not have been necessary.

I offer a prayer, as his stay comes to a close that he finds a way to remain at peace, to apply his new found stillness to his routine at home, change is not easy, but unavoidable.  Changes will have to be made, routines and chores will have to be delegated, but the best changes of all have already been accomplished. I am glad he heard the message

Don’t make the Universe upset your canoe, as you fly Willie Nillie down the raging river.Pull over, take some time to enjoy the scenery, have a picnic, watch the birds, and see what is really going on while you are not paying attention.

Teach your children to be still, to trust their inner voice.Ask your little voice for guidance. The answers may surprise you.

Here is the thought for the day

If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person. If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the house. If there is harmony in the house, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.

The blue road of spirit-

Good Morning all..

For those of you who use the JAMIE SAMS daily meditations guide, we are starting the fifth moon, page 119... today. Click on the above Jamie sams link to the book. "Earth Medicine, ancestors way of harmony for many moons." Available at your local bookstore or at Amazon.com..

I am having to attend a wake and funeral over the next few days. These events give me the opportunity to reflect on my acceptance of death and dying from a number of different perceptions. I try to apply it to my own death. Not just my physical death, but my old self and new self, the me that is  constantly evolving.  I try to examine the emotion that comes from acknowledging that my death is eminant, some day.(LOL)  Hopefully not tomorrow!

Some of you may find this morbid.  Examine that feeling for yourself. Death is a natural progression from life, it is a trip we will all take, eventually.

I want to make the most of my time here on Mother Earth, try to be Present with everyone I encounter, Speak my truth and Love while I have the opportunity. Settle disputes, make amends, forgive and ask for forgiveness. These are the things we should be striving for.

Death is not to be feared. It is inevitable. The fear is that we are not ready. The illusion is that this human existance is forever, but alas it is not, and our last day is not the time to have regret.

Since we are in the dark Moon, lets all have a symbolic dying of the old self, and lets emerge with a new attitude of growth and enlightenment.

Lets all pray for those who have crossed over recently, they may find the lessons in this journey and rejoice in returning home.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!!!!!

When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced.  Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.

Life is a Karmic Party

Good Morning and Happy Monday to everyone!!!

 Life is a  Karmic Party.

    I say that life lessons and Karma, are like having a big party, where you invite all kinds of people, but in the end, everyone leaves and you are left to clean up your apartment alone..with a hangover.   What can we learn from this? well;

 1) We made a conscious choice to have a party, but don't have control over some of the goings on.

2) We invited lots of people, and maybe some we regretted inviting, but it sounded good at the time. Some crashed and were not invited.

3) When left to clean up, we criticized everyone for not staying to clean up, and remained resentful. Because we didn't communicate clearly.

So, here we are, the victim. Having to clean up this big mess.

VICTIM- 2) : one that is subjected to oppression, hardship, or mistreatment <a frequent victim of political attacks> b : one that is tricked or duped <a con man's victim>

It would be easy to sit here and cry over these events, or........

We can take two aspirin, get the garbage bags out and start cleaning up. We can also call friends and ask for help, and finally; say, "The next party I have I will; Communicate better what I want so there is no misunderstanding. I will haveeveryone bring something to the party. I will take responsibility for the decisions I make. I will be more selective in my guest list!

So what does your karmic party look like?

A)    In denial that it was you that invited all these people over, and some  crashed the party?

B)    Are you still sitting there, being a victim, surrounded by a big mess?  C)    Or still having a party since the place is trashed anyway?

D)    Or calling for help and getting motivated to start the clean up?

The events of our life are something that did not happen to you, it just happened. All of these events are bringing us lessons and growth, but not until we are willing to look at the purpose. Even the horrific things that happen in our life, as awful as they are have a higher purpose. We may not ever know why, but we do know, through faith that there is a higher order.  If we remain a victim to these negative events, there is no healing. In fact, all our decisions after that are fear based and we postpone Joy and Love.

It is one thing to be victimized, it is another to remain a victim.

No one can make these changes for you, and you do not have to do it alone. We all have these events, the difference is how we respond to them. They prevent us from moving forward. It is up to you to want it enough, because it is not easy or comfortable when you are a victim.

Here is our thought for the day!!

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.
